NEXT DOOR:

  • Zuidam - Cosy & very good restaurant close-by with a view on the river & the old mill (try satéh!!)

  • De Oerkap - City Beach during summer (Stadsstrand). Just 250 mtr from our studio, also nice for drinks in the sun!

  • Mooie Boules - Jeu de boules and drinks, great terrace in the sun! Nice tapas and rice table.

  • IN THE CITY:

  • Colette - French restaurant, New York style (Grote Markt - central square)

  • De Pizzabakkers - Superb pizza, near the southside of Haarlem Central Station

  • Tatsu - Really nice - all you can eat - sushi shack (Grote Markt)

  • Restaurant ML - Our favorite. Not cheap, but the best with a Michelin star

  • Ratatouille - Also very good and also a Michelin star (near Grote Markt)

  • Thrill Grill - The burgerjoint in town (Grote Markt)

  • La Plume - Great for spare-ribs & sateh (Grote Markt)

  • Erawan - We think it’s possibly the best Thai restaurant in the world (near Grote Markt)

  • India Corner - For years this has been our favourite Indian restaurant. Really high quality food.

  • BREAKFAST / LUNCH

  • Fortuyn - Hippest spot in town, great for lunch (best burgers for sure) but a great bar as well!

  • By Lima - very good lunch room, healthy and lots of vegan options

  • Anne & Max - Cosy spot with great Club Sandwiches, coffee and sweets (the Grote Markt)

  • De Overkant - A real hidden gem, treasured by locals - (near Grote Markt)

  • Café XO - Trendy and nice to drink something too (Grote Markt)

  • BARS

  • Dodici - Our favourite winebar, but also great for an espresso in the morning (Spaarne)

  • Viqh - Also a very nice winebar, cosy with a great selection of wines (Grote Markt)

  • Vester - After dinnertime, this restaurant transforms into a club, DJ's during weekends (Grote Markt) Maybe you’ll see John as DJ John Mills ;-) every first Friday of the month.

  • The Haarlem Social club - you can taste wine here with a wide variety.

  • Jopenkerk - Try Haarlem’s own beer (Jopenbier). In a former church turned into a microbrewery!
